For example: If you are hired on March 3, 2018, your initial eligibility period begins on March 3, 2018 and ends on March 18, 2018. Your benefit plan elections made during this period will be generally effective May 1, 2018, subject to you providing proper documents as required under the plans. |
Special enrollment rules apply if you terminate employment and are then rehired. Contact HR/Benefits for additional information.
Enrolling into the benefit programs is easy! Shortly after you are hired, you will receive a New Hire packet with instructions on how to enroll for your 2018 benefit elections. These instructions tell you how to go online to enroll for benefits. If you are enrolling any dependents, you will need their name, Social Security number, date of birth and need to provide written documentation to verify their eligibility (e.g., birth certificate, marriage license, etc.). (New Hire Video Pending)
After making your benefit elections, be sure to view and print a benefits confirmation statement. You will not receive a separate confirmation statement from HR/Benefits.
