The effective dates shown in this table assume enrollment has been completed timely and any required paperwork or documentation has been provided. If you complete your enrollment after your effective date of coverage, retroactive payroll deductions will be calculated and withheld from your first paycheck after elections are made. It is for this reason you should enroll early to avoid retroactive payroll deductions. If your optional life or dependent life election requires evidence of insurability, the effective date of coverage will be the date the insurance company approves insurability. The effective date of coverage may be delayed due to the actively at work or confinement for care provisions.
